And now to the (unrelated) apology part:
A couple posts and all the schedule updates posted around two weeks ago somehow disappeared or didn't correctly post or something. Apologies for not noticing/checking/fixing.
As a result you didn't hear about the new (to us) band last week: Chris Farrell and 'Evolution of the Mind'. I hear it went pretty well, despite the lack of promotion.
Anyway, we'll be getting the schedule info posted up soon. Gumbo this week. Brutal Bridges next week.

OK, big treat in smaller numbers. We have Sam Holmes up tonight. He has a long history in local music as a singer/songwriter and member (or leader) of many local bands. Good stuff!

The Grange Hall Drifters: Bluegrass+

Yep, Bluegrass and then some!
These guys don't seem to play out very often but when they do it can be quite the treat.  We've been hearing more from them in the last couple months and it's a darn good thing. Some pretty solid traditional bluegrass with just enough 'new' to be interesting. See ya there Wed. 25th

Last BBB for awhile

This is the last outing for local fave's the Brutal Bridges Band before their summer hiatus . Lets give them a big send off and they'll be sure to come back in the fall!

Celtic Crew Crowds Caves!

Hazel's Parlor, a local (and really good) Celtic fiddling group is at 'Caves this week. They were well received last time and it should be even better this time.
Somehow Celtic and Beer just go together great.

OK, it's true, few bands make you think 'foolish' quite like Gumbo does. We might try for slightly more foolish than usual. You'll have to come and check how successful that is.

**ALSO** This date marks the second anniversary of music at 'Caves.
Since Gumbo was the first band to play there it seems kinda appropriate that they be here for this.  We'd like to thank Nick, Chris and Taylor for getting this started ... and sticking with it and especially the crew at 'Caves for putting up with musicians every week  -  ;-)
